Give God All Your Praise

Give God your ALL.

I know that we have talked about giving, over the last few weeks, but I want to go further.

We need to get past the issues that we feel about giving, and get down to the crux of the matter.

The bottom line is this: God Deserves Our All.

Everything we are.
Everything we have.
Everything we hope to be.

It all belongs to him.

Our life is intricately tied up in HIS life, and because of his mercy, grace, goodness, sovereignty, and the fact that he is the Lord, God deserves our all.

When you think about where you COULD be...
When you realize what might have happened...
When you start to understand a little bit of the undeserved mercy and grace covering YOUR life...
It will cause you to WANT to give God your all.

Nothing held back, without reservation, total and complete surrender, done with control, one hundred percent giving God your all.

Every dream.
Every wish.
Every hope.

Ephesians 2:11-13 NKJV
[11] Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh-who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands- [12] that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13] But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

The precious blood of Jesus, shed on the cross for YOU, is the ONLY THING that has given you and me access to God.
He didn’t do that for you because you were so good.
He did that for you because HE IS SO GOOD.

The idea that is in my heart more than anything else is simply this:
To finish the year and start the new one GIVING God PRAISE for what he has done and what he is doing and by FAITH, to praise him for what he is YET to do!

We have to learn to GIVE, and the first thing we give to God is our praise!

Why? Because the fact that you don’t see what God is doing in your life YET, does NOT mean that he is standing still.

God is up to something in you and for you, and you and I need to praise him for it, as if our life depended on it.

Praise is critical to our spiritual well being.
We cannot survive the storms of life if we are not willing and obedient to attribute to God the power, the glory, the salvation, and the might.

God deserves our praise!
Praise belongs to God!
Praise moves the hand and mighty power of God!

Psalm 113:1-3 NKJV
[1] Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD!

Why do you think that this scripture signifies and calls out specifically, the name of the Lord?

Because it is the NAME of Jesus that holds all power in heaven and upon the earth.

In the name of Jesus, blind men see, deaf men hear, and lame men walk.

In the name of Jesus, those who are bound become instantly set free.

In the name of Jesus the forces of darkness are pushed back and the light of heaven fills your soul.

In the name of Jesus, what things you lack are provided.

In the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that he is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When you don’t know what to praise God for, or when the situation is too great to comprehend the answer, just begin to praise the name of Jesus.

It’s at the worst times of your life that you should praise his name the most, because in the moment you praise the name of Jesus, something powerful takes place in the Spirit.

Paul and Silas were bound in prison, but when they started to praise Jesus, the earth shook, their chains fell off, and the prison doors opened.

I encourage you:

[2] Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore! [3] From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD's name is to be praised.

Verse three simply means that, throughout the entire earth, and everything in it, God’s name is TO BE praised.

God gives the commandment for us to praise him.

If you want to see God on display in your present, start to praise him for taking you through your past!

When the problems of life would have overwhelmed you, it was the Lord who brought you through.

It was the Lord who was on your side when the ocean waves crashed against your soul.

It was the Lord’s mighty hand that pulled you up EVEN when you did NOT deserve it.

SO HE DESERVES ALL YOUR PRAISE!

Psalm 46:1-11 NKJV
[1] God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

What is a refuge? It is a shelter or protection from danger or distress.

The Bible says that the "name of the Lord" is a strong tower, and the righteous can run into it and BE SAFE.
Even when you are surrounded by the enemy, God can be your refuge in plain sight.

He can hide you from the arrows of disaster in the middle of the wide open field.

It’s no wonder that scripture says, "you prepare a table before me IN THE PRESENCE of my enemies."

Why?
Because God doesn’t need to remove you from the situation, to HIDE you from the situation.

God is not afraid of your enemy.

He is able to be your refuge in plain sight of the enemy where no evil can befall you and no plague can even come near your dwelling place.

This is why scripture goes on to say:

[2] Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; [3] Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

This passage describes tumultuous times...trouble...turmoil...calamity.

But even in troublesome times, I will NOT be afraid!

Say this out loud right now, "I will not fear."

Say it again, "I WILL NOT FEAR."

Make it your declaration and let it cause you to PRAISE THE LORD for his power, protection and mighty hand.

Scripture says that he will give his angels charge over you so that you won’t even so much as hit your foot against a stone!

The angel of the Lord encamps round about those who fear him, to DELIVER THEM.

God be praised!

Let’s continue with the passage of scripture...
[4] There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. [5] God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

Here’s the amazing thing about this portion of scripture...when you realize that YOU are now the TEMPLE of the Lord, it brings a whole new implication to what the verse means.
You are the tabernacle of the Most High God, therefore, there is a stream of living water that shall make you GLAD.

God is in the midst of YOU.
YOU shall not be moved.
God will help YOU.

YOU SHALL NOT BE MOVED BY THE HAND OF THE ENEMY.

There is a God who lives inside of you who defends you, who crowns you with LIFE and FAVOR.

[6] The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

All God has to do is SPEAK ONE WORD on your behalf and the tables instantly TURN to your favor.

God can cause the earth to melt beneath the feet of your enemy so that they stumble and fall.

[7] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah [8] Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has made desolations in the earth. [9] He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. [10] Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! [11] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Let me say it again...God deserves for you to GIVE HIM something.

And what he desires is your PRAISE.
He knows what praise will unlock in your life.
He knows that if you praise him even when hope seems lost it will bring you victory.
He knows that it doesn’t make sense in the moment, but he also knows that your praise to him will CHANGE THE MOMENT.

Finish the year and start the new one GIVING God PRAISE for what he has done and what he is doing and by FAITH, to praise him for what he is YET to do!

End this year and start the next one, GIVING to God.

Giving him ALL of your praise and holding no glory for yourself whatsoever.

When we give, it opens the door for God to give back to us.

God can give blessings for praise.
God can give faith for trust.
God can give hope in exchange for your heart.
God can give a new mind and new thoughts in exchange for your old mind.

Keep on this giving the Lord your:
- praise
- Trust
- Heart
- Mind (let him change how you think about EVERYTHING)

I want you to finish this year by writing down the things that you need to praise God for.

There has been things God has done for you over the course of this year, and you need to take the time to adequately praise him for what he has done for you.
Has God protected you? Praise him for it.
Has God provided for you? Praise him for it.
Has God been your refuge? Praise him for it.
Has God shut the lion’s mouth for you? Praise him for it.
Has God reached down when you could not reach up? Praise him for it.

Take some special time over the next twenty four hours, to praise God.
Get alone if you can.
Let him hear you.
Quiet your soul where you can THINK, and therefore, remember what the Lord has done.

Finish the year and start the new one GIVING God PRAISE for what he has done and what he is doing and by FAITH, to praise him for what he is YET to do!

And even if perhaps God is THROUGH with me in THIS LIFE, my best days are still ahead of me, because I have eternity in heaven.

No matter what, GIVE GOD YOUR PRAISE.
