How To Sit Above Your Problems

What if there was someone who was with you in all the challenges you face?

What if, in the middle of your mess, there was a friend who could comfort you, listen to you, and provide much needed rest and strength?

The fact is, just such a person exists. God is the one who is an “ever present help” in our times of trouble. You and I need to remember that he is always available…even in the most difficult moments of life.

Here’s what the Bible says about God…

Psalm 29:10–11 ESV

The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!”

The Lord isn’t afraid of, or surprised by our troubles. He is enthroned over the floods of life. He is above the problems and difficulties.

Now, the reason this is relevant to you is simple. If your life is hidden in Christ…then you also sit above the fray and the flood. Though life can be stressful and pressing, you are outside the reach of it all.

It doesn’t mean you and I won’t experience hurt, because sometimes we will. But what it does mean is we have the ability to overcome through the power of Jesus.

God is king.

He is your king if you allow him to be.

Which means nothing has the ability to crush you.

How To Sit Above Your Problems-2

2 Corinthians 4:7–9 ESV

7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

Keep your focus on Jesus and not the problem. God is on your side and he is completely in control. The Lord will strengthen you and bless you as you seek him.
